In selecting proposals we consider the following criteria:
- Does the need or opportunity identified by the client exactly fit our qualifications? We do not bid on assignments if we are not qualified to fulfill our obligations, and cannot provide 100-per-cent satisfaction to our clients.
- Can we dedicate qualified staff, senior staff or associate time to complete the assignment?
- Are there other conditions associated with the RFP that we are unable to meet? There may occasionally be unique security clearance and insurance requirements.
- How many firms are being asked to submit RFQs or to bid on the proposal?
- What are the expectations for involving the public in the project?
You may have specific requirements for your RFP or RFQ. Following are some of the ways in which HSAL meets most RFP requirements.
Security Clearance
HSAL staff and associates have received Canadian and U.S. security clearances. There may be occasions where clearance must be renewed, updated or enhanced for some professionals.
Insurance
Most professionals working for HSAL have individual professional liability insurance. The firm maintains $3,000,000 (Cdn) insurance against errors and omission and comprehensive commercial insurance. For selected assignments, HSAL will obtain additional insurance as required by clients.
Health and Safety
HSAL has active health and safety programs and all staff has health and safety training.
Privacy and Protection of Information
HSAL maintains an active privacy and protection of information program.
International Travel
All HSAL staff and associates have active Canadian and/or U.S. passports. All staff and associates are fully inoculated against tropical diseases and are able to travel on short notice. Several professionals are qualified to bid on European Community assignments.
Languages
HSAL is based in Toronto, a highly cosmopolitan city. As such, our professional team members are accustomed to working in a variety of cultures, and most have international experience. In addition, our network of associates allows us to work in many languages.
